I know I must submit to digg etc; basic questions first

Hey a quick question, please: I'm under the impression that it's 'not ok' to 'digg yourself'. Should I simply submit pages/posts to digg, or would you knowledgeable folks suggest that I also digg them? I haven't done any social bookmarking yet for my sites, and I know I'm missing out.
Also, any suggestions regarding submitting a one-page affiliate site to digg and the other social bookmarking sites? Is that something that's normally done?

When you submit one-page affiliate sites to Digg those sites will be burried faster than you can say bla.

It's a bad idea.

i suiggest that you focus on your seo strategies and not to wory too much on social network or social bookmarking activities.

Submit only useful content / link will be the best idea.

Don't submit your site as often or as many as you like. Digg bans domain names that they think are just spamming...

One-page affiliate sites are spam by default. People should realize that.

social bookmarking is only a a part of SEO strategies. don't put all your attention on it.

Try to submit on other social bookmarking sites.... not just in Digg...

You could always do a bit of session riding.

Plant some JS onto your site that'll make people give you a +1up on Digg (or a few other social bookmarking sites) if they're logged in when they visit.
Doesn't help you initially, but it gets the ball rolling and keeps up the momentum of Diggs, and therefore repeat customers.

There's a lot of Social Bookmarking sites.. Digg is quite strict in submitting a story so like zeruel and Dirky47 have said, don't submit your site as often or as many as you like coz it might ban domain names that they think are just spamming.

you can even try to submit on reddit...well it's not that strict to submit on that sb..but you can have your do follow attribute after your submission gets a vote of two...

there you go a substitute for digg...instant do follow...

ppc-han has point. make it just a part of your strategies. building links is still the best way to ranked. yeah i know you'll get inbound links by submitting to social bookmarking sites but just submit. don't waste your time in voting, etc. it might banned you. what i mean is, instead of helping you, it might be the reason to lose your opportunity to ranked high.

I have submitted my site to digg one time only but it is not visible y so is there any problem. Can u please tell me what may the reason. And please explain me clearly how to do.
