Social Bookmarking to get Backlinks

How estabilished do you have to be at a Social Bookmarking site in order for it to payoff in regards to Backlinks? And what's the a good social bookmarking website? Delisious (sp)?

First of all, they don't have to payoff since you don't have to pay anything to submit your link.
Secondly, social bookmarking website may provide you a backlink that search engine will actually look at. If they do, the backlink won't be very efficient.

You want to go to social bookmarking sites for traffic, not backlinks.

Yup. Social bookmarking is for traffic mainly. Sure, it increases the number of backlinks to your site, but doesn’t mean it will increase anything other than that.

Your thinking is not well. Some do-follow social bookmarking sites provide quality back links as well as good traffic. But you have to do it in proper way. You can add social bookmarking button in your blogs or sites to increase content visibility in social sites. In this way digg button is most famous.

You can try this huge social bookmarking sites lists to include your sites to get traffic and back links.

with regards to bounce rate it may affect, in a manner only if your site not really not in interest or relevant to your post on Social Bookmarking..

On some point you're right but traffic may vary but not permanent. Like some professionals saying "Social bookmarking is good for backlinks but temporary effect when it comes to traffic!".

i disagree. it is the other way around, Social bookmarking sites may provide you a short term boost of traffic, you rarely get lots of back links from them, the chances are a user happens to stumble or digg your post then he liked your post and posted it on his site and that they provide a link to your site automatic one way back link

its a good source for traffic. I got 869 visits from stumbleupon alone in two days...but you need to provide fresh content and hope to get more stumbles then you get the traffic.

Social Bookmarking sites are very useful for generate more traffic to site and make your site popular and Google may give some attention to very good social bookmark sites like digg, delicious and more.

If I were you, I would focus more on getting traffic from SB sites than backlinks, and since the title is what captures the readers, you should always create interesting titles and not just stuff it with keywords

There will be no pay option for the Social Book Marking.The main thing is login submit the site and updating.Join in the communities or groups discuss.leave the comments etc...
