PR is determined by incoming links, not hosts.

that's right: pr does not has something to do, which host you are using. Just backlinks and url does matter.....

Type of hosting does not impact your PageRank in any way.
However, in general, I greatly prefer paid hosting (even very cheap) for the increased control it offers.

difference would be that free hosts wont give you your own domain, I'm not sure how much of an effect that has on SEO, but does i have a big effect on traffic to your site?

^ well as the guys said, it doesn't matter, but I guess if you are just starting it would be good to try free hostings and then paid hosting later for a better domain name.

it doesn't matter actually, it really depends on the quality of the site where you'll be given a link...

Free or paid hosts will be the same from a PR point of view because that is the value or number calculated according to the links other webmasters add to your website but definitely paid hosts can be more reliable than the free hosts from an accessibility perspective.

paid hosting is better if you want to build serious online business
pr is determined by backlink to your site not from type of hosting

All I know is free hosting does have some disadvantages like database problems and limited space. Once you experience this, your operation will halt and that is somewhat serious. SE might see those errors during updates and that is bad.

Stay away from free hosts, 'step' up and pay for hosting! It's the only way that you can really be rewarded for your efforts and have complete control of your site and it's different avenues of monetizing. Even if you don't have a fabulous website but build some quality pagerank then you can STILL have an avenue to make money.

I believe i won't affect your PR whether it is free of paid hosting as long as the hosting company isn't a blacklisted server.
