some considers article submission but many are saying that google ignores the other submission because of duplicate content.what's the matter with that? at least you still have promotion.

link exchange
feed sites - like make a few blogs pointing to your site on blogger, squidoo ext
press release
yahoo answers
blog comments
forum sigs

Absolutely actual!

Even semi-automated linkexchange systems are effective too in gaining backlinks, if you choose your partners carefully. Before you accept a linkexchange, take a look where your link'll be placed - avoid linkfarms.

Natural linkexchange (you write a letter to a webmaster, etc.) can bring traffic too, besides backlinks.

One difficult but professional way of getting quality one way links is writing high quality articles and posting them on your website and then letting people read them and gradually you will see one way links.

it will be more effective if you are posting on a forum that is related to your niche.
my friend tried this one he had 1,000+ post on on webmaster forums but his niche is about cars gadget and so on, the back link that he gets from forums that are not related to his niche is not that much compared to the backlinks he gets from 500+ post on different forums that are related to his niche

IMO, link exchange with a site that is related to your site is still worth.

anyone know about link baiting? it said that this method will help your site get ranked and bring you more traffic. Is it true? Is it as like as you submit your page through social networking?
