I've been submitting to press release sites the past few days to launch my new site and all of them have "no follow" unless you pay a fee for the "premium service" that's well worth the price tag.

My opinion is if you are doing a press release to launch your new site, then go the extra nine yards and pay for the premium service. You will not regret this later on in the future.

If you search google you may find what you are looking for but those press release sites might not be a popular as the top ones are. I'm investing in my new business and paid the money for premium press release service.

Free Pres Release sites

Just wanted to comment that not all free press release sites are worth using. Many of them are not worth the time it takes to submit a release. When I use a free press release distribution site, it needs to fit 4 criteria.

1. It needs to be free :-)
2. It needs to feed their content to Google News at http://news.google.com
3. It needs to have a Google Pagerank greater than 4/10
4. It needs to have fairly high traffic. I use Alexa.com to determine this and select site with rank greater than 200,000

Many of these also include "Do Follow" links. I should probably include it as an additional criteria.

Currently I have a list of 15 sites that fit all 4 criteria. You can view the current list here: http://bignews.biz/blog/?p=6

If you have suggestions for additional sites for me, don’t hesitate to post them to the comments section of the list and I’ll ad them.

Many thanks,
Phil

if you got the time, a link is a link

the other thing is traffic, keeping track of where traffic comes from is important

so even thou it is a no follow if they send you traffic you can't be choosy with the no follow
