Question Meta Tags

As I understand, this is what search engines use to find and list websites. I have a sub-domain site at a free hosting service. This are the tangs I have inserted:
Description
Keywords
Content Language
Distribution
Revisist after
Robots
Charset" content="ISO-8859-1

These are probably more tahn I need, im a little confused on what the Charset does. do search enginees index sub-domains? I have seen a few around google.

If you would take a few moments and read google terms of service for indexing you would have all of your answers to the questions you have asked.

~or~ do a search for your words and find the 2000 times the same question has been asked before.

Meta wont only help Search Engines, it will help your visitors and many more web tools on the net.

It can improve the serps as well if the content is related.

Of course, search engines do. There are countless subdomains you can find on SEs index to prove it.

with meta, there are more chances to come on ranking quickly, coz meta defines your site theme and services, so on related keywords, we can come easily in SERP.

On your list I only put meta description, title and keywords. Yes it helps your site to have visitors but not that much.
