Is the career SEO dying?
I don't know if this is true and I hope not. Keyword rankings aren't getting much attention by clients anymore because they want conversions. And more and more SEO's are popping out almost everyday. And some wanabees tend to lower their price of their services which entices clients. But the quality of work isn't good and that also makes the SEO industry look bad. I'm not blaming anyone here as we all try to make a living. All I want to know is there a chance that the glory days of SEO be back.?

The same thing happened years ago with web design. The only thing you can do is adapt and improve.

indeed. as we know it is never ending study of new tech. really sad for people in the IT industry. no matter how good you are on the old programming language, it's easily trashed once a new language is released which leads you to a adapting and start again form scratch.

I don't think so. As long as there are websites then SEO is just basically needed.
Doesn't mean SEO will only focus to keywords but on how to maintain a good market on a website. There are so many things to do as SEO, so I guess it's just in the process of re-development.

No. I don't think it's dying at all. You must remember that there are still a lot of people who don't even use the Internet yet. Then, there are all the newbies who are still trying to get ahead. That market is still there, just technology is making it easier for people to do it themselves.
But I have a philosophy I stick to. It's not a new philosophy so you may already know it. Here I'll share it, "If you think that all is bad, then it will be." (or vice versa)
It really has to do with positive thinking.

Definitely No. It will evolve and improve, YES. But a complete NO isn't going to happen.

There is not a chance that SEO is "Dying off" the most likely reason why more and more are popping up is because there is a very large market for it.
Everyone wants to be online no matter what sort of company it is so targeting that specific audience is a must.
Just my thoughts.

keyword ranking is on of the best way to get traffic and conversion. if your keyword rank in the first page their is a possibilities that a user may visit your site and maybe you can get conversion to those visitors. you might also try PPC to get better conversion.

I don't think so. Like what i've said the battle between the SEO and Search Engine will never end as long the internet and website continous to dominate SEO still there.Imagining site without promotion! Do you think your site will be known by other and regardless on cheap services it depends on the competency of SEO companies. It really shows that SEO known globally at these moment because to tell you the truth you cannot learn SEO task on school.

I can't answer this at the moment, I'm still conducting some research but I agree with what you said about clients wanting conversion more than rankings. But I believe getting a high ranking helps in conversion.
