Can i also do this:
1. Create a small table just in the begining of my web site.
2. Write a description full of important keywords.
3. Make that table invisible.
This way search engines would "read" that important text but will not be visible for visitors which is what i want.
I am trying this because my web site has a lot of images and not so much text. I used ALT text and also file names such as keyword-file.jpg but i think i need a little bit more.
Can i do this with the invisible table?
Will it work?
Thank You,
Miguel

Psst... Everyone is most interested in google.
First of all doing just onsite optimizaton, means stuffing keywords in your page, won`t effect your rakings much if you are targetting a high competitive kywd, or your PR is not much..
Again high rankings also depends upon the text you have used in anchor and few other things...
Now since you have asked specifically about On-site optimization..
Making table invisible is cloaking, if you get caught you can be penalized. Another effective method of cloaking is use invisible layers.
If you have lots of images, you can use innerHTML, another type of cloaking not so famous yet... It will render text to the spiders, while users will be shown images...
I am just answering your questions, but in my opinion doing only onsite optimization in not very effective...And cloaking is a bad thing.. avoid it.
A good solution is add more pages with juicy content. But you need to have Bacward Links with keywords stuffed in anchor text.
But if you have good PR, putting kywds in your title, links and main content will be quiet sufficient itself. But to get good rankings you need to have good link popularity..
