Link Exchange

Hello,

i got to the conclusion that the most important is to have links pointing to my web site from other pages.

After looking i found out there are some link exchange softwares and projects.

Can you advice me on this?
And if it is a good idea can you tell me which one is the best?

I only tried the two I mentioned so I cannot guarantee "service quality" of the rest.

In any case, I would not use sites that drive traffic to you because they are mostly useless and untargetted.

Look at the links pointing to your competitors and other sites with similar products / services. Ask all those sites to link to you. Chances are they will.

Linktoyou is actually what I refer people to when they want to know what a link farm is.

I talked with the people who owned it and told them how aweful I think they are. I would not even trust the parent company as a PPC provider (they own 7search) based on the fact that they still promote their linkstoyou product which can and likely has got many sites banned from the search engines.

Try to request link exchanges on the forums like this one. (You may also find www.seopark.com useful.)

Btw, if www.27lamps.com is your website, then I should admit that I'm impressed with your creative menu idea. Too bad that flash links can't be indexed by Google or by other search engines.

Many webmasters post their email address on their site to contact them if your interested in a link exchange. I've found that just by sending out emails and asking if people would be interested in exchanging links works pretty well. Also as mentioned above, link exchange forums are a great place to find reciprocal link partners.

I have to 2nd that... I know the guy who runs it. He is estatic that it has taken off the way it has and the number of people who use it today from the short time its been online.

hi..
check out the site based on the same theme to yours.

check their backlinks. and ask them to link back to your site with a link exchange mail.

Link exchanges is a good way to draw traffic to your site overtime as long as the linking site is a relevant one with good traffic.

As to its SEO value - minimal, as you also pass on link juice in the process. Be careful not to overdo it as well as it may get your site leak out more link juice than what you actually get.

I think manual link exchanges are way better than automated programs, site or software. Be the better judge of where to exchange links with

Exchange links on those high PR sites. IMO, automated software are not good for your site, I still recommend manual way of doing link exchange.

Do not use any software or site that automatically link your site. Your site may get ban if google notice in sudden increase of your backlinks.

I think it's still better if you exchange links manually without any softwares, because you have to check first all the sites that you're going to leave your links to or else your site could be banned or look spammy.

It's OK to do some link exchanges but it should not be excessive...
Excessive link exchanges could affect your site's rankings...
Link exchange should be minimal and only to those Quality Related sites than can bring/transfer traffic to your site...
