Maintaining the ranking.

Hello All,

I have a website and have recently changed its home page title, description and keywords which has lead to increase in search engine ranking on which I was optimizing.

My Question is that, what should I do now to maintain that ranking.

Please guide.

Good to hear that... For now, just continue building links using those new targeted keywords in your page titles and descriptions. Just avoid stuffing keywords in metas and everything will be fine.

Yes building links is the number one thing you can do to maintain and improve your rankings. Keep in mind that quality is more important than quantity when it comes to link building.

My suggestion is that you should apply exactly what you did to get up there in ranking in the first place. Just keep applying that to the site. So for example who ever you optimized the title tag just keep it optimized in that way. And yes I would continue to obtain quality links.

you can create new content for that site and use your main kw in the content then bookmark it. Link build it... or update it once in a while...

I would suggest you to keep working on link building and traffic generation, if you loose your PR initially you would regain it quickly.

There are many ways to maintain the ranking,like create new blog related to your website and update recent artilces, submit your blog to blog directory, do forum posting, directory submission,blog comments for your site and new blog.

If you have changed keyword definitely it will hurt your rankings for those keywords and for new keywords you must have to optimize your site again by using SEO techniques.

For gods sake don't go linking (kiddies seo....lol)

If you get something in the top 10 don't do anything if you're up there. Try to figure out how and why you got there (cause if you're reading this scammers post you probably got lucky) .
Leave it alone if it's at the top. Let the other guys wonder how you did it. More than likely their attempts to beat you will cause them to drop further.

Monitor the competition for each keyword phrase and figure out how to beat them - it has NOTHING to do with linkbacks..

Always research for a fresh list of sites to submit and update content at least once a month. Go for quality links and not quantity.
