Automated Link Exchange Directory Managers
I am trying to find a free automated link exchange directory manager that is SE friendly. Any suggestions? Free, automated, exchange, and directory being keywords.

i generally associate such concept with low quality.

why not have an expternal program that checks your reciprocal links?

i think it invites alot of rubish entries if you market on your site that you are actively seeking link exchange and have an automated tool for such.

whats the difference between a program that checks your reciprical links and a link exchange directory?

If so, then what program do you suggest?

I do not do much link exchange stuff, but link proctor seems like it would be cool to me.

the reason I like external is that most people who offer me link exchanges have crap sites so I would rather make my site look really exclusive vice automated.

this is just my take though of course

How do you have such a good pagerank and good position in search engines without link exchanges?

I did trade a few links off the start, but do not do it much anymore.

I registered my sites in about 50 directories.
I made lots of friends who linked to me.
I sponsor a few sites.
I wrote articles that got syndicated on dozens of sites.
I participate in a bunch of forums.
I got random links from people I do not know over time.

The link exchange software I wrote allows for admin approval and also has a little item to check the referring page to see if your link is on there. The directory itself has links like category4.html
