Anchor Text v Company Name Question

Hey Guys,

My company specialises in maternity wear, baby clothing and nursery equipment, yet the company name is quite obscure. I know the importance of getting keywords in the anchor text of a link for SEO, so do you have any hints apart from asking companies to put the link as;

<company name> - maternity wear, baby clothing, nursery equipment

???

I would recommend exact keyword phrase as anchor.

If I were targeting "Blue Widgets", I would want the anchor text to be "Blue Widgets", not "Blue Widgets and Bla, Bla, Bla..."

i would also use a couple variations of link text. some directories may only list your site name and some people (and stuff like press releases) may link using url.

you want the bulk of your liks to be the primary version of your keyword phrase though.
