Uppercase or lower case?
Is it important to name a file or folder with upper case or lower case? Do search engines (especially google) care about this?

all lower case is the safest. Most common and that's how most people type in URL. Some server treats upper and lower different and having uppercase filenames can cause you some problem down the road.

lowercase is easier for people to remember too

Lowercase and that includes images etc.

It will not make any noticeable deference for SE.
