How did you get your authority link?

Hello ,

I had read a lot about link building on lot of blogs and everywhere its written that SEO is all about quality links and not quantity links .and links from .edu domains have high value and one should try to grab them . But even after struggling lot of days I can't manage to get even one authority link . I want to know whether any webmaster in forum get an authority link and can he share his experience . i am talking only about high quality links . I am not talking about links from directories , article submission etc .

Please share your experience with people like me who are learning SEO .

Thanks

Gagan

There exist Text link brokers who actually deal with such kind of offers

you can actually try and contact them

We at LinkCredible offer Text Link Advertising through subscription based Text Link Ads to generate one way incoming Text Links.

The only way you are gunna get high-PR links, say above PR2-3, is renting them, and they are expensive from what I have seen.

Go look at the backlinks of the high PR sites that are offering to rent out links. What I see is that these rental high PR sites exist solely to rent out links. And they are high PR because they have 3-4 incoming links from other high PR sites.

Go look at these back end high PR sites, and what you will probably see is they are ligitimate sites, except they have a few links that don't belong. For example I have seen many web designers place illigitimate links on the .com/org/.edu page of sites they maintain.

In my opinion they are stealing from the .com owner to create revenue for themselves. I won't touch link rental. Long term I think you are better buying lower pr links in large quantity. I pay $0.33 cents a link for PR1-3 blogs. Or if you can, figgure how how to create something that makes people want to link to you.

Who in his right mind with a PR5+ site is going to link exchange with a PR2 site? Anyone out there crazy enough to do it, please pm me!

I run a retail site. I won't put a bunch of links to other places on my home page.

Perhaps I'm naive but I've always managed to get authority links by building unique and compelling content. Niche stuff that is valuable works well in gaining the attention of the authority sites.

Buying or selling links are against by the TOS of Google. Furthermore, not all links from directories are considered authority link.

Anyway, you can use this tool to find authority links that matches your site.

I too haven't found 1 authority site offering link exchange.
And why would they offer link exchange to a site with no or low PR ?

I think Only way to get a good quality backlink is to buy it.

Me too but I don't think small webmaster like me have so much budget to buy a good quality link . And why an authority website like newspaper or edu domain would sell a link . and its difficult (not impossible) to find good link partners .

We are not living in Ideal Internet world where you create good content and everybody links to it and you get top position in SERP . Most of the time I have seen People used to modify the information you published in a way so that it don't appears as duplicate content and publish it again under their name
