Altavista?

I'm 12 out of 40,800,00 for a keyword, and according to overture, the keyword was searched 104,769 last month. My question is, why am I not getting any hits from Altavista, with a listing on the second page, I would think I would be getting at least ONE hit from them.

Does anyone get much traffic from Altavista?

AltaVista pretty much died a few years back. An astonishing example of how a search engine can dominate, only to fall from grace.

Look at your site using a meta tag analyser. (We have one at Prosubmitclub.com)

Is it saying what you want it to say that would get people to want to visit your site. Take a look at what you are saying to the searcher is it clear to them what you are offering at your site. Look at what your competitors are saying in their Title and Discription.

Just a thought
Cyberken

AltaVista still gets traffic don't be fooled.

I still use their video search often-maybe they could focus more on their "media search" (sound, videos) instead of conventional site search.
