Any More to SEO?
Greetings All,
Is there more that can be done to a website to raise it's page rank excluding:
Meta Tagging all pages
Search Engine submission
Robots.txt
Links pointing towards your site
Directory listing
Thanks

just get lots of keyword rich inbound links and create ideas that would make people want to link to you for free.

As a wall19 said, links are the key, so one thing you could do is have a reduced price on banners for those that also give you a link. This isnt something that I wouldd suggest doing with every customer because it requires some faith that the customer will keep the link up, but with repeat customers you could give them a discount for linking to you.

1.) what are you talking about
2.) if you believe so much in content content content then why are you wasting your time on this forum when your sig file has a 6 page website with virtually no CONTENT CONTENT CONTENT
people need to do a little thinking for themselves before regurgitating incorrect stuff as fact.
sure everybody learns.
I have been way wrong many times in the past, but if in the past I talked about content content content you could rest assured my site would have more than 6 pages on it and at least one of them would be somewhat useful.
at least follow your own guidance before giving it to others.

If matching the content to your meta tags is so important, why did you stuff the keywords tag of your cyberken.com site with words like, partylines, Games, Sports, Travel, chat, Health, adult, sex, Horoscope, Live Web Cams, Magazines, free for all, Entertainment, web cam, chat lines, party, and Adult Services?
Just in case anyone wonders why meta tags don't work anymore...

I would love someone to make a site with really good content, but 0 links. Then someone make a site with **** content, but thousands of links. Then see who gets the most visitors and most money from ad clicks..

the hidden trick for content being important is
1. it needs to be useful and linkable (or)
2. you need to have built a reputation which makes the content matter.
the problem with building tons of content is that most of it is not #1
and it is usually a freeking ton of effort to start falling into category #2

From my own experiences, all the content in the world - regardless of quality - will get you exactly nowhere in the two important search engines... if you don't have links pointing to it.
