I have noticed a lot of sites I visit now use javascript to link out to other sites to reduce outboundlinks. Not just sites like hotscripts (thats understandable) but also a lot of blogs and such.

Does this practice yeild any real benifit ? Is it worth doing ?

if you are in a porn type industry where your links would potentially get you banned it works great.

I do not like it as a tactic for PageRank conservation though because you limit what search engines can associate your site with when they cant read any outbound links.

I saw awall, seobook, didn't know your first name, and assumed things. . Am I starting to sense some sibling rivalry here .

it happens all the time in all the papers. usually they quote stuff you did not say or pull it out of context to change the meaning.

in her defense when she called me up the third time it felt like somebody hit my head with a hammer when the phone woke me up and I probably could have gave her better stuff than I did. I was hurting tired and half asleep though on the third call because I was not expecting it and I sometimes sleep weird hours

At any rate this has been a pretty amazing series of coincidences -

1. I wake up one evening (i have strange sleeping habits also, as i type this its 3:30 am) start reading the newspaper (not something i do regularly)

2. By chance i flip over to the technology section and read the article, the name seobook rings a bell but can't quite put my finger on wher i saw it before

3. A few days pass, sun goes up, sun goes down

4.I post a question on the v7n forums (pretty rare occurence of me)

5. It happens to be answered by someone named awall.

6. I click a link to the seobook site in awalls sig, and remember the article i read in the newspaper a couple of days ago.

7. So I verifiy that its the same person and post it.

8. Later I find out that it was actually wasn't the same awall, it was his evil twin adam wall, no wait actually it wasn't his evil twin, it was actually him and there was typo in the newspaper

What are the odds of this happening :

it depends on how many interviews I can get. the more the better

i gotta start comming up with better sites and ideas so I can get more interviews more frequently. need to find a way to start appearing on the 6 o'clock news :wink:
