Do SEs really read <h1>, <h2> quote as important keywords?

I do use <h1> <h2> <b> .. as highlight for readers easy to read.

But I have question about how do you prove google read <h1> <h2> as your site's important keywords?

Please prove it.

I real like to know.

Thanks/ Regards

i don't think that h1 to h6 are important for search engines, in one of my site i have used all h1 to h6 tags, but still no good performance from that domain in ranking.

I hope your response is not serious. No single method of optimization is going to make a huge difference. It is a combination of methods that makes the difference.

there is no way to prove it but google gave it weight in their search algorithm..(which nobody knows it) and it very important to have it on your site and not in a spammy way (forexample a whole paragraph)

I always try to get variations of my keywords into the page title, page description, H1 tags, and of course the page text. I don't know how much each one contributes to the rankings, but I've had good results so I'll continue to include the H1 tag as part of my on page SEO.

H1 is the first heading on each of your web pages. Google places high importance on the first major heading on a page. It more of the headline to make crawlers recognize what the entire content is about..its like a summary of everything...the news flash of the content..i mean with the <h1> alone you could tell what the page is about.. So its highly probably that your primary keyword would be or at least should be mentioned on the <h1> line..on terms of <b>,<u>, etc...its just a way of showing the importance of the word from the content..giving it more of a hype and value compared to the other keywords..

As for their corresponding number..
<h1> the highest level of importance to <h6> being the lowest level on importance...

dude, what you mentioned was just a part of the on-page strategy..
you should also apply off-page optimization..
there are two types of optimization namely:
off-page optimization and on-page optimization
both are equal significant factors..you need both to be successful..

I have proved that using H1 tags do help in rankings with select SE's. I have learned not to point out where and when this has been proven. Let me just say that it is one of several good methods to use in SEO.

I really want to help prove this method and will offer the following. Search for "USED COPIER SEATTLE" and you will be amazed at the top two returns when compared to the lesser ranking others. This is the same return that was seen over a year ago.

It's just part of a recipe for good SEO. Using them can and often makes a difference. My thought is, if what you are doing is working, don't change anything. But, if what you're doing isn't working, why not add every technique that you can?

H1 etc tags are good for SEO, but they cannot give you a very dominate results. If someone make a website and use H tags for telling google about the keywords, then hope to get rank high for those keywords in the H tags: this will most probably never work.

Using H tags is a small part of SEO.

The only way to prove a certain SEO technique is working is to try it and if you see changes then it works. Don't expect to place a keyword in the h1 tag and the next day you will be ranked highly. It just helps google tell what you think is important in your website.

Sighs

Is there some reason you just said the EXACT same thing as the person above you?

Search engines interpret header tags as indicators of relevancy. They perceive H1 and H2 tagged text as the most important part of the website. That’s why header tags should be used wisely in order to reinforce the overall effectiveness of the content and contribute to higher search engine rankings.

Too many H1 tags throughout the regular text body may have a negative impact on search engine rankings. H1 tag should contain the central keyword of the web page. If there are secondary keywords they can be given more weight with the help of a H2 tag.
