That's the list of directories I was using as reference when submitting my site to all the directories. The list is very useful. You will find all the directories mentioned previously in this thread in that list - except I think informationoutpost.com (thanks Awall!)

Hi,

When clicking on the 'info' link of each directory there is a 'last updated' date for each. As far as I can tell, they were all updated this month, and I understand that it is updated at least once/month.

Anchor text from a one way link from yet another c-class etc is valuable - if you are only focused on pr than you must have all the ancor text you need to rank on what you are chasing.

I actually think this is a good question.
Sure, its a link ..... but i can open a free hosting acct anywhere and setup a link.

I think the directory needs to offer free links for a while, especially as it barely contains any sites.

Please understand - this isn't me picking at your site - it actually seems real nice - however it doesn't offer its users anything and in turn - it doesn't offer webmasters anything.

link building is big business right now. sure anyone can start a directory, but few people are starting directories that provide static text links. many of those who are want to advertise weight loss or debt products on every page of their directory...

there is a good value to text links from unique IP addresses.

I was curious, are you using a script, or are you doing it all manually.

I want to put a very targeted directory in french, and I want to know if you can buy a script that will give static text links.

I have bought one but it is in CGI (dynamic pages).
