generally speaking search engines could indexed the do follow links,no follow links means it is not usefull for our site.But yahoo indexed the no follow links,so i think whatever the link is do follow or no follow,if it is related with our site,we can build it .

Any link without a nofollow attibute is a dofollow link. You can download the SEO FOR FIREFOX to identify them, both are good for human traffic but dofollow links pass link juices.

Do Follow links are counted as back links by Search Engines and No Follow links are not counted. However you use them is going to affect your page rank. You can see them on your html code. There's a few examples that people have shared with you above. This is something that you definitely need to implement to your site if you haven't.

It would be better if your using the DoFollow than the NoFollow.. Though the NoFollow back links can help increase the traffic..

Do follow mean google follow those links and no follow means google can not follow the links which contain nofollow link.

Google doesn't counts no follow links as backlinks. On the other hand yahoo counts it.
You can go to the source code of the and check in that.

@redrose: there is a add-on for firefox that will highlight nofollow links on each page you visit. Search for Seo4Firefox and you will find it quickly.

A link that is not nofollowed is known as dofollow link. A Dofollow link is a link crawlable by search engine. Dofollow is not a tag, its an attribute you simply don’t nofollow a link if you want it be dofollowed.

How are they used?

Nofollow links may be used in following cases:

* Paid links: Paid links that are not nofollowed can influence search rankings,a site’s ranking in Google search results is partly based on analysis of those sites that link to it. In order to prevent paid links from influencing search results and negatively impacting users, webmasters are encouraged use nofollow on such links. Webmasters buying such links coming from sites delivering traffic wouldn’t mind the extra attribute being added to their links.

NOTE: Whether a link is followed or nofollow its still good for human visitors to your website which can turn to a client.

Juice and no juice is all just speculations. No follow is designed not to give a banklink. Some no follow links will show up as strong juice bearing backlinks.

Not just google. Any search Engine.

do follow and no follow are very important tags, as per seo point of view.
if you don't define any tag, that link will be counted as do follow
to define no follow just add rel="nofollow"
ex. <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.v7n.com/">

add nofollow during internal linking for those pages of site, which are not important for u.
