So again you are saying dont opt for MSN and Yahoo

That is a great argument you got going. I can't do it, so it doesn't work.

No, I can optimize web pages but it sounds bad and takes away from the message I'm trying to get to potential customers.

The to me that mean you dont know how to optimize if you can not make page sound right. I know it is tough and it can be done. Some people can do it some people cant.

Obviously not that well, if it sounded bad. If you can't do something well, just say it. It's ok. We're not all perfect.
Can I get some of the purple Kool-Aid please? It seems as if everyone has drank some, and I was left out.

The whole point of on page optimization is to increase keyword density. If your keyword appears too many times in a paragraph, even 3 times then it begins to sound weird. Copy is meant for conversions. Links are meant for rankings.

Call it optimized text, call it copy, call it whatever. Regardless, when you are selling an item you need to mention it. Unless you go along with what everyone in this forum says. Get a blank page, get links and your business will boom. Ed, it looks like you offer web design...how did i know that you might ask...because you mentioned it on your page. I clicked on a link that said web design and then you mentioned it on your site.
Copy is any and all text regardless of "optimized" or conversions...it is needed for a site. Like I said try to sell something and not mention on your site.

There's a difference between mentioning it and overusing a word in copy.
And Ed: Don't steal my slogan.

did your ever see anyone say to "not mention your products" or "not use text"
we said it is not a necessity to rank well. common sense would dictate that one should mention ones products using their proper terms if one wants to sell them.
then again perhaps this sense is not so common...not sure why people keep ranting about this concept...

the answer to your question is yes. ranking well, conversions, sales...they are all apart of what we are trying to do. according to what everyone in this forum is saying is that all you need is "keyword rich anchor text" and then you will rank well. who cares if you rank well if you can't convert? people keep preaching that copy (call it optimized or call it sales) is not necessary. imo, it is a fair balance of both that would produce the best results.
according to people here, monster can offer jobs and not mention jobs, dell can sell computers and not mention computers...there is a reason for it. no one in this forum is monster or dell, so stop acting like it.

I call that concept or verbiage you just used incorrect framing.
we say make content that reads well. you naturally include your keyword phrase verbiage somewhat in page copy that reads well.

Call me what you want but I rank well across all SE and if google ever goes down I have no worries.
Funny thing is I never said (you people seem not to want to read) that links were not important just said there are other concepts to optimization so you rank well in other engines.
LIke Yahoo and MSN which does get you traffic that is if you are ranked well.

I said what they were meant for, not how they are used. The point I'm making is on-page seo does look ugly and involves mentioning things too many times. This puts off the user and can result in them leaving your site. A copy should be to entice a user to buy, not to entice search engines to rank you highly.

Then I feel if you can not right good optimized pages then you dont know how to optimize.
It can be done. Words dont need to be repeated 10 times per line.
Anyway I see what you are saying I am just trying to bring out the point that optimized pages can be done and helps with other engines.
SE friendly pages can be written

I was about to research through some of your past posts to quote some of the stuff that you may have "never said," but this sentence you wrote does a good job of showcasing your talents and the skills associated with your opinions.
I misspell a ton of stuff and sometimes use the incorrect words, but when I talk about how important writing is you can usually bet I will use the word write and not right.
