I'm trying to analyze a competitor's website in terms of number of pages and who links to them. I've seen it done with free tools but I can't seem to find them. Can you help? Specifically:
- how many pages? I was in a seminar once and saw the speaker use google to find a list of pages on a website.
- incoming links? I also saw someone use a free website to get a list of all of the incoming links to a website?
Any ideas?
I did use Alexa and quantcast.com to get a feel for their traffic and demographics.
yaa i suggest you go for paid tools i like SEO Elite is good for me if you want only free tools i think this one is also good: ineedhits.com/free-tools/competitor-analysis.aspx
Yahoo site explorer will give you what you want, while backlinkwatch will give more details on the backlinks. You can use these tools to analyze your own backlinks, as well as those of other sites.

I think its better to do a manual competitor site analysis because your not sure if the info you will get from some automated tools for competitor analysis will give a precise info.
