Why are they #1 with this term.

Hi everyone take a look at this page. http://www.southerntesting.com/NetCarbs.html

When I do a search in google for Net carb analysis, this company comes up #1. When I go to look at the website, nothing really jumps out at me as to why they might be #1 with that search term except for the fact that they have the term Net carb wrapped in Quotes. Is that enough to propel it to #1 or is it also a case where it might be a rather obscure search term, and thus the work involved to get it to #1 was minimal??? Am I missing the obvious or merely stating it? Isn't it a waste of time to wrap the term in quotation marks?

when in doubt as to the reasons for rankings it is usually best to check links.

Basically "Net carb analysis" is not a competive phrase. Few to no searchs are done on it.

None of the top listed compnaies appear to have many back-links for those pages.

It's due to anchor text links. Links are the key to rankings.
