On the page. Each Keyword Phrase in my Title will also be anchor text leading to a new landing page with more information about the subject. So in Total there will be 4 links going out of the page. 1 automotive oil change and so on.
Each one of those pages will also be " lol optimized" for its respective subject.

Not bad metas make sure to set them up unique to each page on your site. The only one I would change is the description rather than trying to stuff with keywords perhaps describe more what your site is about and why someone searching would want to look at your site.

Yeah the meta description tag influences the likelihood that a person will actually click on the search engine results page and visit your site. It should be brief and concise summary of your page's content.

Hi bobby,
It is impossible to determine whether you did it right or not because we don't know your target, your goals... Are you targeting the whole world, the united states, a province/state? Are you looking at referring places, selling products, having free tutorial and place ads on the site?
For example, If I was looking for a place to change my oil, I would add a location to my search. If I was looking for tips, I would add my car model.
Sometimes, being more specific on keywords will bring ou less traffic, but it will be more relevant.

The only change I'd make is to the description. Make it a "call to action" rather than a repeat of your title keywords. Your title will show up in the search engines as the link and the description will show right underneath it in most cases. You want your description to entice people to click on your link. Try something like: "Find the best prices for an oil change in..." to get people to click on your site.

"Find the best prices for an oil change in .............. Before changing your Oil next time compare different types of motor oils and automotive oil change facilities in your area. Find the lowest oil change costs near you just by entering your..........."

For Google; optimization = getting backlinks. Titles and meta tags are not that important for Google rankings.

I'm so sorry but I disagree with you... Paying attention with your metas is also important to get higher rankings in Google SERP. Sure it's not the most important thing since "content is king", but it's also a factor that contributes to getting a higher ranking.
I think bobby's keywords are good, though it needs some improvements but it's a good start. I find search engine optimization as a trial-and-error thing

I totally agree with you , you have to take time to test your keywords , analyse what are the most competitive keyword in order to determine which keywords are the best for you
it's really a trial-and-error thing , but if you take time to chosse the right keyword the process will be much easier

Hi
I agree with P.O.S .
If you have quality content and you get the meta right, you have also a title and a description of that page then you will be closer to your goal.
Be sure you have all this things close related in the topic!

Also what I would suggest is having your more goal realted keywords starting at all your metas, keyword 1 worh 50% same as title and discription.
page content : spaced at top of page middle and bottom.

Just a little additional, have you ever checked or analyzed your competitors for whatever particular keyword you are targeting? I am sure it can help you out figuring the right keywords to have.

I think you have to change these three keywords (Compare, Cost, Change) into (Compare Motor Oil, Oil cost, Oil Change) because targeting those three general words is really hard to rank in SE because its often used by many.

Personally i would cut down the title tag, although some of the words you used are short i suppose, i do try to stick to a limit of 8 or 9 words so it doesnt over run in google. (not that it probably matters, just looks a bit neater. I think you certainly have the right idea in the way you are matching the words to gether, how relevant they are is up to you, and as long as they are suited to the content and the links i think its very good.
