Every article directory has different editorial guidelines and in order to get your article listed with them you need to abide by those guidelines hence its better to read the guidelines before making the submissions.

IT is not neccessary that you submit unique articles to each directory. Use some software to add single article to thousands on directory.

All of the directories that I use don't require "unique content" they just require me to have full copyright for the article. I usually submit my articles to 10 or so directories switching them up every article.

I have submitted many articles to article directories. I usually submit to ezine articles first, then submit to all the other sites. I submit each article to each site one time. I have never had a issue with this formula yet.

The safest is to read the submission guidelines and I found that most directories accept duplicate content. With the exception of some such as ezinearticles.com. The trick is to post to your own site first, then EZA. If the article is found to be yours, you will be accepted by EZA even though it is duplicate. Then move on to other not so strict directories.

The more you submit the article the better exposure your site gets and hence its nice to submit more articles or one article to more directories.

It`s always better to submit only original articles. You can use writer`s services. They will rewrite your articles for few $. It`s not much money for original content.
