I heared google updated as use redirect code within the meta tag.



Is it true?

I read something tlike this but will need clarification on the .htaccess file redirection.

Are you talking about the rel=canonical redirect? It's with in the meta tags... As it is stated here:

Yes, you can specify a URL that redirects as a canonical URL. Google will then process the redirect as usual and try to index it.
I've tried it before, waited till the Google bot visited my site in order to index my canonical code but it didn't work
