Forum Posting is the best way to get one-way links. The importance of one-way links from search engine point of view is very high. In forum posting you need to follow forums guidelines very strictly, otherwise you won't get good results.

Forum Posting is the right term. This task is effective you use it in the efficient way. What I mean is, you must have quality post in this task to gain unique visitors. And aside from that, forum posting can easily boost up your site's backlink.

This is only one of the SEO task. You can also try or look for other effective way.

I'm not sure how you came to this conclusion because most of the threads made in a forum usually hold little to no page rank whatsoever. The forum categories hold varying amounts of page rank but I don't think that filters down to every single post?

I can't speak for everyone but personally I would never allow do follow on any of my forums because there are many that register with nefarious means in mind and/or originate from bad neighborhoods. Even risking that google mis-interpret my forum configuration as a vote for pr0n, hate, tobacco, racism, warez, etc., is just plain careless.

Also, why on Earth would anyone register at a forum for the sole purpose of peddling their warez; the idea itself is purely alien to me? The time you spend here, there or anywhere trying to Wiesel meager traffic stats from a forum signature could be much better spent toward adding fresh and original content on your own site.

In other words, register at a forum to discuss and learn only and MAYBE receive a small traffic kickback, add content to your own sites regularly to attain PR, targeted traffic, roi, etc.

It might help a bit as long as your not spamming the forums with your links. In the long run you want people to come to your site, because they like your participation on the forum.

Forum posting gives a good backlinks to my handled site. Just be sure you are following the right procedure. By putting your link signature here and keep on posting quality post.

Forums are a great place for not just advertising your signature and building links for your websites but it is a great community where you can participate at. Don't go to forums just for the sake of leaving links cause they have so much more to offer and having the chance to leave a signature is just a bonus part of it. Consider this forum... this forum has been very helpful in discussing and exchanging news, updates, queries and answers about SEO, web design and a lot more... it is a great place also to get some help on how you can improve your website in terms of traffic, design, etc...

Good thing that you asked before posting. You can post your products in Advertising Thread section. All you have to do is to read first the guidelines in forum posting. Do consider also the forum policies.

If you will noticed, all here are organized. So better be careful in posting.

Forum posting is one of the strategies of getting back links/inbound links. Most of the forums requires to have 25 or 50 posts before you can put your link signature.. Before engaging into forums, read first the rules and regulations..
