Seo Book

Has anyone read the SEO Book? www.seobook.com

What do you think of it? Does it explore SEO info that I won't find on websites and in seo forums? Is this a book for seo newbies or professionals?

Honesty is appreciated, I don't want to buy it if it's just the same stuff I can read in articles here on V7.

I stick with forums, as books on stuff like SEO could be outdated by tomorrow!

I haven't read the book, but his blog at the url is really valuable in my opinion. I think I'll make the investment soon just so I can see what else he has in there.

I'll have a review of SEO book on my site when it's finished - but until then, the bottom line is that it's a very useful book for the beginner to intermediate level SEO. It's short, sharp, to the point.

Aaron has marketed himself as a no bull person, and that's pretty much the focus of the book. It covers the main issues and points you'll need to know. He also keep it up to date, so if you buy it today, it's relevant for today.

You could probably find the information it covers spread all over the net - but Aaron distills it all into one concentrated source, and gives an authoritative commentary of someone with experience of commercial SEO and marketing.

Aaron's blog at SEObook.com is also one of the most comprehensive and up-to-date sources of SEO industry news, and well worth visiting regularly.

I have read the book
This book is full of exceptional ressources.
SEObook is not about: how to write your Meta tags or how to write a good copy.
Aaron give you a more global look at Web site building then just plain SEO.
If you are looking for a recipe, this book is not for you.
Good informations about pay per click.

I've not read the entire thing but most of it..and with the long and helpful responses that you find by him here, it's pretty obvious that he has a firm grasp on seo. I personally liked his ebook most because of the marketing tricks he mentions, and not so much "the secret way to get a #1 listing on google for computers"...no such thing. In all, if you own an internet business, I would buy his book for 3 times what he's selling it for. "You have to spend money to make money"...and this money is worth it.

I'd recommend it. In fact I'm going to do exactly that on my site.

You'd be a fool not to give it a read! Pick it up before he raises the price.

He should correct (fully qualify) the "I am first in Google" URL. When I click it, I get a localised cz-domain search results and he is nowhere to be found untill clicking on the "Search the world" button.

A lecturer here got it and was looking thourgh it, though decided not to use it. Seemed pretty good for someone to learn seo, lots of great and accurate advice. Does it use the MS Word report template?

Overall it's a good book for intermediate-level SEO person. Very comprehensive and covered all the important topics.

It may be a bit too much for beginners since he does not explain every detail that some one who know nothing about SEO would like to know. This is actually a good thing because it make for an easy read for most of us.

Even with my SEO experience, I found a few key ideas that I can use. It's also a good benchmark to confirm some of the informaiton that I already have.

Buy it, read it!

I think it depends on how commited you are to making money on the internet.

I just finished reading seobook, and found it to be a great resource. I've also read the Planet Ocean book and Mike Grehan's book and found them to be excellent, as well.

If you bought all three of these books, it would cost you about $234 plus about 3 or 4 days of reading, after which you could talk search engines and internet marketing with the best of them.

In my opinion, if you have a online business, it is more expensive NOT to buy and read these 3 books. Why spend money and time tracking down all this information or learning through trial and error when a group of experts has already done the heavy lifting?

got it

I just bought SEO Book this morning, hopefully I'll get to read it over the weekend. Just browsing though it, I like the conversational tone and there doesn't seem to be any fluff.

Most likely I'll be meeting with the boss on monday to discuss a big change in our marketing strategy!
