Hello Uregent Help Needed

Hello All,

Well I am facing some problem in my site since last 2-3 Months before that I was on good rank and getting a good amount of traffic. My niche is Web development

But since 2 months traffic is going down and down. I do not know what is going wrong with my site as such I have done some changes in Meta tags and I do article submission, directory submission, Social Bookmarking of website with that just started some Press release submission too

But I am not getting good traffic and Inquiries from Last Two months what should I do to Improve my SEO performance?

Help me guys please

The problem might not be really on what you are doing for the site but maybe on your website itself. Have you tried placing yourself on the visitor's point of view? When you see your website, do you really think it has all the things needed for visitors to really stay and inquire or know more about what you have to offer?

Is it specifically designed for visitors and not for bots? Do you have the information they need for them to not really leave your site immediately?

Go and check your site yourself. And try to answer some of the questions above. And if ever you think you have all those factors, then that's really a serious problem you're going through.

Could be the state of the economy, people are shifting thier priorities..(just a thought)

Have you checked your rankings? Perhaps you have lost a couple of good rankings that were bringing you traffic.

Do you track your visitors? Do you know what brought them to the site? If you are, you could easily find the source of the decrease.
Do you use Google Analytics for example?

If you are losing ranking and traffic on search engines, there is a possibility that some of your backlinks are not powerful anymore.

Perhaps there is nothing wrong on your site.

The reason for traffic decrease can be the changes that you made to the meta tags. For sites that have solid ranking, changes to meta tags most probably will not have much or any affect. But if a site is new and do not have solid ranking, then such meta tag changes can have a negative affect on the site's ranking.

Check what source of traffic has been dropping. If the search engine traffic is dropping, check if it is due to the serp rankings. Anyway you need to analyse your source of traffic first to see what caused the drop.

Is it due to recession? It can be if you were getting traffic from US as every business men has been affected who were regularly getting traffic from US.

Have you checked your keyword rankings? In the other side, as what others says, put your self in the visitors side. Then look what is the real problem in your site. If you do everything that you can do, then I guess the problem is at your site.

Better add more quality articles and testimonials at your website development site.

We are all experiencing less traffic because of the recession, so if all of us are getting less traffic, the serps should not change. Thier is also a general traffic recession on the web during summer months because people are outside more and going on vacation, to the beach, long-walks in the park . . .ect . .. lol

less people are online because its NICE OUTSIDE

Oh i also noticed the social bookmarks on your footer - those are leaking traffic and page rank on every page - if that new that may be hurting you - also a make over on your site wouldn't hurt either - I think something a little more web 2.0 would convert more visitors into customers

Well if I compare the statistics this year with 2008, and 2007 I will say that we are all experiencing less traffic because of the recession.

The numbers talk by themself.

If you want to rank really fast through SEO, etc try using SEnuke & Bookmarking demon. Some people might say its blackhat, but you have to ask yourself, "How badly do I want this?"

Have you been checking up on your competitors marketing campaign? When I start losing traffic it is usually because an increase of my competitions marketing campaigns.

I don't understand why "the recession" would be affecting "NON-E-COMMERCE" traffic . . . I mean its not that bad . . . people aren't exactly selling their computer or anything? not yet anyway . . . lol . . . . Natural Elements I am new to this forum what type or sites do you own strictly e-commerce and if so what type of products / services . . . . also what stats are you talking about stat for your own websites or the whole net? ? ?
