I agree, the internet is the number 1 source of information for most people nowadays.

Chances that the internet will disappear is pretty slim if not impossible.

You know I can't tell you for sure, but I have heard a lot of talk that Google is becoming advanced enough to pick out the sites that are hot in social media perhaps this will be one of the keys in SEO down the road?

SEO is still raise its network that will carry this noble service up to the highest level of high tech improvement in Internet world. do you know that SEO is like a floating house in the sea that can float whether the high or low tide? In up grading of any Search Engine like Google, SEO is still in need no matter how high tech the upgrading of those Search Engines.

As long as we have search engines we'll always need to work for optimal placement. My only fear is that a bunch of new kids come on the scene and literally annialate yahoo, google, bing, etc., with a new and fresh algorithmic approach to indexing forcing us all to re-evaluate what has worked for us in the past.
