Angry Sending Automated Emails for Link Building

How many of you are guilty of sending out those spammy emails asking for a Link Exchange ? I'm so sick and tired of these SEO Companys (with a 'Graybar' website) asking for a link exchange... and my link would be put on some poopy site. I always respond with 2 words... F**k You !

I am also in the same boat.

Don’t understand the logic why people are spamming my mail box if they are looking for a favor from me. Do they really think that if they will flood my mail box then I will do something for them?

Is it a way to ask for a back link?

I do link exchange request manually, but I do not offer poopy pages

I first analyze a website before requesting for a link exchange. But I do get a lot of spammy link request emails from link farms, some of them even change the color of the anchor text so that visitors won't notice the link. What's funnier than that are those who call themselves SEO experts offering me their cr*ppy pages with gray bar, useless content, filled with outgoing links and (worst) uses "nofollow".

Yeah. It's what they call 3-way link exchange. They will ask for a link on your site and then they will link your site on some other blogs/ site. I used spambox for this kind of e-mails.

I think you are overreacting - spam has its share in each of the spheres conceivable. See to proper mail filtering.

I get some hilarious ones too, from cheeky people - 3 way linking asking for a PR3 or 4 and they'll add mine to www.whatever.com and then when I click to check it's a free crappy directory, which you could add yourself too if you wanted to!

I get but don't send link requests. I don't blast people a new one for asking because that is not my style, but I also don't ever say yes either.

Some emails are really intended to play fair in terms of exchanging links. I find it rude when you reply the "F" word on them when their intention is fair and clean and not like what "you think" as spam.

Yes, we all get tired of those emails that spam our mailbox everyday, but if you were on their situation and you really want to play right, and then they also replied with that "F" word, I am sure you will feel bad.

There's nothing wrong trying to reply when you have the time and you think that the email is legit and has good intentions.
