The clicks are cheaper but not as targetted - Facebook uses a different algorithm to display ads, and userts who express an interest in a certain area (travel, sport, etc.) will see related ads on their pages. However, there is a fairly large debate at the moment about click fraud. Many companies are comparing the clicks charged by Facebook on their weblogs or tracking software and in some cases are being charged 300% more than their logs compare to.

I stopped with facebook around 1 year ago, and although I spent a very little amount, prices may be higher now, and with the risk of such click fraud, I think you'd be better off trying Bing, Yahoo! or Google. A finely tuned adwords account can deliver some excellent traffic.

Facebook is harder to get ads approved, but if you are targeting a demographic more than a keyword then it works better.

I personally do not like the idea of direct ads on my facebook account. I go there to keep in touch with my friends and make new, join groups and a whole bunch of other things. I do talk about the services I offer and I get traffic. And yes its free...
