Hi Guys,

I'm struggling to find a tool or system with which to monitor my backlinks.

Everything I have used has not been specific enough.

Any ideas?

I don't know of any tools that "monitor" your links - i.e. will advise you if someone drops/deletes a link which is that's what you're looking for I think is tough to find. If you just want to know the amount you have then use google's webmaster tools, yahoositesearch and Bing's equivalent. Each will likely show a different amount - Google probably the least.

I'm also looking for something that will monitor my backlinks to see if someone drops/deletes a link. At the moment I'm doing it manually through a database.

I think a spider type script that searches urls from a database and alerts via email and updates the database would be great. Anyone know of such as spider?

I have been using Yahoo's siteexplorer, alexa and Awstats(cPanel) to monitor the backlinks to my website. These IMO are worth relying on.

You can use it also. I do recommend this one being a reliable tool for me.

I use http://www.linkdiagnosis.com a great tool to keep an eye on your links. Also advised you if your links are on No follow sites.

When looking at backlinks I have always trusted yahoo's site explorer which you can find by going to yahoo and typing link:www.yoururl.com and I also like Google's webmaster tools. Personally I don't want the links counted which the search engines don't recognize

Try to use seocentro. There are some good tools listed there.

I usually use marketleap dot com or backlinkwatch dot com

in marketleap you can use another tool for free..
Domain-pop also a good stuff
