How Long Does It Take Google to Rank a New Website?
How long does it take to achieve targeted rankings in Google? That’s probably the most popular SEO question. And to an exoerienced SEO it may seem naive: really, is any other answer except "it depends" possible here?
Well, generally, there are plenty of "it depends"-type of answers but some common consistent patterns can be singled out:
So, how long would you give a new site to rank? There is a really good thread at WebmasterWorld forums discussing exactly that topic. Usually the scenario is as follows:
- There is a short period of early high rankings (it’s like a testing period);
- Most websites do not pass the test and the high rankings drop in about 2 weeks;
- After that come from 6 to 18 months of low rankings before the site really starts to get solid search referrals.
So is it usually so? Let’s discuss:

It is obvious from the choices that 2nd option is the answer to this question.
Ranking is always a case to case basis. It will depend on many factors such as competition of keywords, age of site, content, relevancy and most specially how powerful your inbound links are whether in terms of relevancy, quality and quantity...

From my experience, it would not take more than 6 month if promoted properly but SEO is an ongoing process so you need to put consistent effort to maintain that rankings.

My experience is no more than 6 months. Your new site can be rank in Search Engine in this allotted time. If and only if you do the right thing in promoting new websites.

G doesn't update PR on a schedule so it's impossible to know. You can get a site INDEXED within 24 hours, but not get pagerank for months. That's why PR is stupid.

With the right equipped SEO management and the domain age, it may take about 6 months for a freshly new domain to see great results from really good competitive keywords that pulls in loads of traffic.
But that is only if you know exactly what you are doing and how well you are optimizing your sites. If your a pro, it can take 2-3 months at least.

Even a website can index withing 48Hrs, it depends upon the inbound link and content of the website.

According to me three to six months. Few of site take more time. If your domain is brand new and in the starting 3-4 weeks of promotional it appear in first page and then disappear again. then slowly come back in original position.

It really depends on the competition and the niche that you're targeting. If it has less than 100k competition, you can get the top position within 1 - 2 months if you're using the right strategies.
Good luck.

Its depends, it’s always different from site to site, the competitiveness of the industry or keyword phrase that they’re targeting.

i favour number 2......it's too difficult to say when it is going to happen and get initial, and then stable rankings for keyword phrases. There are so many variables, notably, the search and competitiveness for a particular keyword phrase, the site architecture and navigation, optimized textual content, relevant and qualitative inbound link development, not to mention the competitiveness of the type of industry you are in. Further, this being a dynamic environment it is also dependent on actively tweaking the site on a regular basis.

I think that there is no definite answer to this question. Rnaking vary from site to site. Some sites rank high in the start because of new content boost. But to get a stable place in SERPs, a site may have to wait for 6,8,12 etc months.
I think that all depends on the quality of cotnent/service that the site/page is providing and the quality of backlinks that this site/page gets.
