Coop Ad Network from digitalpoint
Just curious if anyone has signed up and become a part of the coop adnetwork from digitalpoint? I just signed up a couple days ago, and was wondering if anyone else was using it and what type of results they were seeing?
I'm already seeing movement up in the Serps, though I'm not 100% sure if from the network, in the past couple days, I've seen more upward movement than in the past 4 weeks.
Anyone else given it a try? (If you haven't check it out!)

affiliate signup link in the sig there
I thought about it. I think its a much better deal for forums than for blogs. I signed up and inserted the code off the start (and later removed it), but am debating whether or not I should participate in something like that.
If I were a forum I would totally go for it...not sure with a blog though...especially since many of the ads would be kinda irrelelvant

Yeah, it is generally a better deal for forums than for blogs, but there are now well over 300 sites in the network, and it's growing quite quickly. Shawn @ DP did a pretty good job with it.

another thing that made me shy away from the network is that sites like sendwu.com are somehow showing in the ads on the network. not that it is a bad site, its just that it is a high margin site built on commerce and off topic ads to high margin sites would likely take a bit of credibility away from my site

Credibility in whose eyes, though? The network isn't really about traffic, but about back links across hundreds of sites & PR...

But you can run just plain links in your footer instead of a banner... I doubt many people would even notice. I can see how it would be less beneficial, or at least carry more consequences that a regular forum, as you're trying to sell something as well... but I think for most sites that are not commerical in nature, it will work really well.

Just thought I'd give a bit of an update via my stats... not sure if this huge push is from the network or not, or if I'm finally pulling out of the sandbox/march filter dealy.

Tim, I was reading about some of your success with the ad network over at DP and decided to give it a try. What's your current weight [in the program]?

If anybody wants to help somebody with only a weight of 2000 sign up under me - see my sig!
I haven't yet seen my ad display on any site
This is the only situation I will say this statement - but I need more weight!!

I signed up, but wouldn't suggest signing up under anyone because it sounds like ten percent of your weight goes somewhere else when you sign up under someone. It kind of reminds me of network marketing accept the bonuses for your upline come out ot the companies profits not your commissions.
And one more thing? Why is it better for forums. Seems to me if I put in 270 PR 3 links I would get 270 PR 3 links back. If I put in 15,000 PR 0 links, then that's what I'd get back. So I can see where 15,000 links is better than 270, but it still seems like blogs and forums are treated equally.

That ten percent has to come from somewhere and they claim that everyone gets out the same value they put in. If the ten percent doesn't come form you thsn it comes from someone else...

I am somewhat dissapointed in the program. We have tens of thousands of pages, and its not often that we see our link on the other sites.
