Post The significance of 'Title' Tag
I think the 'Title Tag' is one of the most significant factors of SEO. I had a lady that contacted me a few weeks ago. Her all Flash Website dfdesigninteriors.com was 6 years old, and found no where on the Internet.

Her web designer had the website URL in the Title, That's it !

I suggested adding Keyphrases, and see what happens in a few weeks. Now it shows up, Page 1, Rank 1 in some instances.

Lastly, it just goes to show that some designers are great at Design and Graphics, but no nothing about SEO.. lots of them out there, I suspect.
