For sure it is, but do you know guys about the demographic SEO?
it means the process to improve search engine ranking of
your website or business by targeting the local areas that you would
like your business to show up on the search engines. Your business
could be in Ft Lauderdale or In Miami. You could try and target the
whole state of Florida but this will take a little longer than
expected because that is a very broad search term and there will
be a lot of competition for that keyword.

SEO is absolutely necessary for every web site. Especially google SEO, because they study human behavior. On and off page factors are results of investigating human behaviors. SEO is making in the first place for visitors and in the second place for SE-s.

The best advice I can give is to read read read.
Nobody is going to give you step 1, 2, 3 etc of their exact process. People have their secrets and way of doing things that if exactly copied means they lose out on money.
However people do share some tips and tricks to point you in the right direction.
Poster A will give step 1, Poster B in another thread will give you step 2. Eventually you'll get an understanding of the big picture.
There is a pdf that google brought out with the basics in SEO. I think you should read that first, after that try more advanced techniques and test what works better.

As most people have said, it depends on the purpose of your site. If you want it to be found then yes SEO is important. That said, it should only be 1 part of an internet marketing strategy. Not the be all and end all.

It depend on the nature and purpose of site you are making, if you want popularity for the site, SEO is the key. SEO helps a lot in the long run if done correctly.
SEO leads to high rank in search engine result which in return drive traffic from targeted visitors.

Absolutely! I can attest to that since most of my site's traffic are coming from search engines. If I did not perform some basic SEOs then my site won't be receiving the traffic it has right now.
