How to promote a blog directory? I believe it is different to a general directory.

Whats the PR of the directory and what is the review cost ?

The number of submissions you get will depend on many things: including the two I mentioned above.

And how much traffic your site have? Is it targeted traffic?

Back to basic in SEO, just optimize your meta tags like description about your Blog Directory Site. Then in keywords use any SEO keyword tool like this >>>>>>>> https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal, choose a keywords that relates to your Blog Directory. Other on-page optimization like Anchor Text <a>, Header <h1>, title tags <title> </title> and bold tag <b>.

For off page optimization just create your article about your blog directory and submit it to article directory submission site, wait for approval. Once your article approved submit the url of approved article in Social Bookmarking Site. In forum posting put the link of Blog Directory Site in signature. Make a blog site and blog entry then submit your blog entry in any Social Bookmarking Site. Participate any Answer Site(like Yahoo Answer, Wiki Answer, Mahalo Answer, Yedda Answer and Answer Bag) and answer the question that related to your website.
