check my web site position for keywords
Just wondering if anyone knows of a quick way of checking web site ranking for key words. I have been putting the keywords into Google and then counting where we come in the rankings.
I am sure there must be a free tool or web site that can automatically tell you ranking for keywords rather than having to manually count where you appear in searches.

google is the best tool to tell you what your position is. what you can do is to change your keyword and then check your position again

I don't think there's any reliable tool for checking Keywords ranking. Before, as I have a numerous list of keywords to optimized. I want a quick way of checking my keywords so I used SEOBook SERP tool, but I realized that the result doesn't varies exactly upon weekly checking. Compared it to manual checking, it really shows big difference. So I must suggest you to remain doing manually.

Hi,
Definitely there are tools which can check the position of your site for particular keywords, but they are not reliable. I am sure there are no or very less people out there who uses these kind of tools.
Manual site position check is best and reliable.

simply search google and take a look. I hate trusting other tools tha search through google. If you want to find the best results from google, use google itself. Trust me.

Google Rankings
Try Google rankings, but as other people say, manual checking is the best way to check rank on google.

Rank Checker on Firefox would be a good choice on this issue.

I used to use WebPosition Gold. It is a very expensive tool. But will changes to Google that rank sites at different positions almost on every search + different SERPS for different region, I no longer check the positions. Focus on making more pages to fish for traffic!

Think what this person meant was Google Webmaster Tools. If you sign up for this it shows you the keywords you ranked for, what position and on the other side shows you what keyword searches were clicked. I don't find it totally accurate but it will give you an idea.

I suggest you to use this one - Rank Checker for Firefox - nice one..!
The ranking has some fluctuations when compared to actual one - I strongly feel that checking manually was the right choice..

There are thousands of tools available on the web. But I won't recommend them.
