Well, if it is like that, than maybe you have the wrong "Sponsor" / "Affiliate-program"

Find some relevant forums to your niche, join them and increase the no. of posts and then put your site url in the signature links. Dude, Are you sure forum posting is the only way to increase traffic? Because there are many more ways to increase traffic. And i don't think that blog posting can get you high PR, but blog commenting could definitely fetch you in getting high PR.
