Hi Friends
can you tell about:
backlinks of forums posting are same as other pure links on Link page, under Google's Eye?

imho don't go overboard with it, and keep it to only relevant forums for your market/niche....and ensure you have some traditional link building going on

too many forum backlinks and not enough regular stuff can look dicey...esp on a new domain being marketed.

They count, which helps, but at the same time don't over do it like the post above said.
Bare in mind that on a typical forum if there is 10 posts on a page and maybe each post has 2 links in the signature, that is 20 links straight away without considering any other links that there may be. Throw into the equation that most forum pages have next to no PR and you therefore get pretty much no link juice at all.
However, they are still links so don't discount them.

As far as I know search engines index forums frequently, so posting in forums is a good way to gain quality backlinks with the anchor text of your choice.

Right, especially for high pr forums or authority forums. Google or other SEs visit such forums frequently and pick up sig links just like backlinks from other sources.

Yes,but you don't over do it.
You should just post articles on related forums for your business.Or you will be punished by the moderators as they are able to consider you are a posting to posting.

I read that forum links are best for quick SE indexing. But they don't carry much importance required for affecting PR or SE positioning.

Forum links are ok but only if the are not no-follow and if they are visible for everybody. I know some forums where links disappear after you log out.

Forums links are next to useless. The pages they on are almost always 0 PR and there are hundreds of links on each page, so the "juice" going to anyone link is probably next to 0.

The search engines know that forums links are self promotional easy to gain links and knows that they are not editorially given, so probably give no weight to them anyway.

The only people that think they have any value are the SEO kiddies. No SEO consultant or expert recommends them.

I think forum links have some weight. If the site is powerful (good authority) and the content is similar to page content, links from forums will increase your SERPs.

I agree forums are a great way to get backlinks as long as you don't over do it. Especially if they are a dofollow.
Which is far and few now a days due to all the spam.

It will count, but dont get links from totally unrelevant forums like if you are using phpbb and asking support for some issues in phpbb forums dont use your seo trick there. it will affect your brand and if some one goes there while searching for your site it wont look nice IMHO.

Forum signature backlinks can help, but try to mix it up with other backlinks like, social bookmarking, blog post/reviews, directory links and many more.
