Hi Dave,
Are you sure you visited our site (LinkSmile.com)?
You may be confusing our site with another site...? If not, then you might want to re-read our content with a little less bias (noting your comment that simply grouped us with other sites in this arena).
No offense intended or taken that you have a different take, but all of our content and every article is explicitly written with traffic in mind --not link popularity or pagerank at all. That is one thing that specifically sets us apart from all the link sellers.
Our publishers can sell banners, non-SEO links, and also standard SEO text links. There are several options -only one of which will help with link popularity.
To be honest, I -personally- care nothing about pagerank. If Google disappeared tomorrow, I would be happier anyway. I look for traffic first, and every article on our site tries to convey the idea of buying traffic as being paramount to buying pagerank.
I mean you must have missed this article linked to right off the homepage:

Avaden,
You must be a little kid ...judging from your last post. You do not even deserve the honor of a reply, but no matter. Here's some insight:

Lets stop wasting space on this forum. Use it to talk about meaningful things.......like Tsunami's
|
I already moved on. There is no point trying to educate you. And, tsunami's are a terrible thing, but this is not the correct forum to discuss them (but feel free to do so).

Educate me you will not. Give me a great laugh, you already have.
Tsunami's are a terrible thing and I never said they were not. Can you read? I started talking about how horrible it is what is happening to those people....ANYTHING to shut you up.
Wesley....if you think I'm that unedumacated, would you like for me to explain how your system that is so industry crushing works? It took me one peek at your test drive and I figured it out. Boy....talk about ground breaking. So you execute a script that sits on a site and that script writes html between your tags of <purvida>. Woops...did I leak your secret? I'll have our own written by noon tomorrow and we can start a new contest in 2005 called the
" 2005 SCRIPT OFF "
We can time each other to see who can execute their script faster. If you receive any errors you are instantly disqualified, but you can redeem yourself in the losers bracket playoffs. The ultimate prize in the end would be ..... yes...you guessed it folks....
HOT RIBS STRAIGHT OFF THE BARBECUE AT WESLEY'S TRAILERSMILE PARK. GET ONE ON ONE TIME WITH THE MAN HIMSELF, THE LEGENDARY, GROUNDBREAKING, EARTH STOPPING, BROKER BUT NOT REALLY WESLEY!!!! YOUR PRIZE GUARANTEE'S YOU AND YOUR GUEST WILL BE SWEPT AWAY FROM THE TRAILER PARK BY ONE LARGE TORNADO AND DROPPED OFF IN ONE LARGE PILE OF WHITE TRASH........
oh my...I've lost it. but I have to admit...I'm cracking myself up. Wesley, man, I would apologize, but I can't. I'm just going to keep making fun of you because I'm so over the argument.

No problem, Dave.
I was just freaking out wondering how you could've gotten that impression at our site... hah
Your original opinion, however, is insightful. Thank you for sharing.
Good things in 2005 to you as well...

You are soooo clever, Ron. No, you did not leak any "secret", but thanks for your efforts.

You even gave me a slight chuckle with some of your off-the-wall comments. However, everyone else reading your remarks will probably not think so highly of you... just a word of warning.
At any rate, if you want to have the last word, just make another post about it. I give you the privilege of having the last word. Otherwise, your child's play will continue in to the next year.
Cheers,
Wesley

Thanks for "allowing" me have the last word. It's like Christmas all over.

I have used linkworth for about 6 months now. They bring me about 500-800 a month on average, pretty slick system if you ask me. Keeps things easy for the webmasters with the different options of how you can place the links (php, asp, html) etc.

Sorry to bump an old topic but I figured it's better than making a new thread.
I was just about to ask about Linkworth, did a search and found this thread. I've been with them for awhile now and have had a great experience. I am not all serious about advertising, it's more of an experiment to see how these things work. I've really enjoyed the service thus far, and I get paid on time every month.

Thanks Colleen,
Sometimes it's difficult for people to work out what to do when threads go this way and it is nice to see someone who has actually used the service giving an opinion

Thanks, G10. I make most of my income off actually working, so it's nice in a way to make money doing nothing really as well, just stick up a link and get paid monthly. Can't complain.
My new test was increasing the cost per month to advertise on one site and people still buy links, so it's been a fun little experiment, doing better than I do with Adsense, lol.

Yeah, I see... I think it was basically new back then. They're established now and doing great.
It's a very easy-to-use service as well, I love the account area.

Yes, I've noticed that once you get your first link or two through LinkWorth you can raise prices for that site. They get some fairly big spenders there as well. For a while some dirctv company was advertising sitewide on most of my blogs and I was making some good money. They cancelled all their ads, but I still get a couple hundred bucks a month and didn't have to work to sell that ad space.
