backlink reduce
My backlinks have reduded not only me but there many seo's whose backlinks have reduced some are happy with increase in backlink.
This is due to google updates?
google has done it's update?

How did you determine that many websites have got their indexed backlinks reduced? Hve you seen a drop in traffic to your own website?

I have over 26 sites and I never see the backlinks get reduced!

How are you checking your backlinks....because Google will only show your a couple....so their results vary....Yahoo site explorer is a better tool!

Well this commonly happens if you have alot of link exchanges. If one guy removes you from his site....your link goes bye bye on every page....so that could add up to hundreds!

Yeah. Its quite nature. If you doing your link building regularly , it will increase seamlessly. otherwise it will drop down.

yeh ,some posts/ads linking to your site if expired then your back links will be reduced and like this some free directories give one year free submissions.

It's not good to lose too many backlinks. Google doesn't like this.

not just because of an update.. it usually happen when someone remove your link on their site.. besides google are not showing all backlinks..
