i think the best backlink come from Products Recommended Station, blog, articles, press releases, social networking to share points, and the forum is a good method too. usually we do many bookmark and feed submit, that is very useful.

writing an article to your blog by using keywords and link it to your site is one way of getting backlink, another is writing an article and submit it to article directories

You can do article marketing. You can also do social bookmarking using your keywords as tags. You can add you blog's RSS feed to your social profiles if possible so that you have deeper linking.

Join networks where you can distribute articles for republication at other relevant blogs. Unlike articles picked up from article directories which often lose their links, these networks have agreements to honor anchored one-way links.

Link exchange is also a good way of building backlinks.

^^ I agree. link baiting is the ultimate way for massive backlinks but also the hardest to achieve. Try doing all off page seo efforts and surely you will make your way thru the 1st page of the serps.
