Google not indexing videos from video sitemap

I have submitted a video sitemap to Google, which has been validated as error-free. However, it has been over 2 months now and not a single video from that list has been indexed by Google Search or Google Video search, leave alone ranking.

Does Google carry out seletive indexation of third-party website videos(non-Youtube videos)? Is Google's indexation policy different for sitemap.xml and video-sitemap.xml? Does Google choose not to index videos from video-sitemap, while it readily indexes all pages from sitemap.xml? Please help me with this..

Is the link for your Video Sitemap placed on a publicly accessible page/URL?

Make sure that you place your Video Sitemap at a publicly accessible URL. Currently, Google cannot retrieve files from URLs that are protected by authentication (even basic HTTP authentication). - http://www.google.com/support/webmas...n&answer=80235

Hi,

Its good that you have submitted a video sitemap, you can also go for submitting xml sitemap in GYM, this may help you in getting the page indexed.

Another solution could be, if you have an external blog for the site in blogger.com, you can put your video page link in the blog, in case you don't have an external blog you can create it easily.

Actually the crawl rate of blogger.com is quite good, so i am prefering that and quite sure that it will work. Also you can go for pinging the page through pingomatic.com.
