No definite rule but in general dynamic pages are considered better as these can provide latest information easily.

Rank over time may not matter. I do agree with Nancy that static seems to index faster.

Friendly links also seem to do better. At one time I had a lot of the ?page=222 types indexed but I don't see that happening as much anymore.

My opinion (and it is just an opinion) is that it really is a wash. What matters to most is that the page presented to the SE's is of high quality and SEO friendly and loads quickly.

Well, Search engines are improved a lot and they have started indexing dynamic pages also but still static pages have some advantages in terms of ranking.

"static URLs might have a slight advantage in terms of clickthrough rates because users can easily read the urls, the decision to use database-driven websites does not imply a significant disadvantage in terms of indexing and ranking. Providing search engines with dynamic URLs should be favored over hiding parameters to make them look static."

just have a look at what google says

I agree with you, static page seem to index more faster than dynamic though they are both essential in every web page.

Search Engine can Crawl dynamic Pages but Static Pages are more SEO Friendly then dynamic Pages so if your url has dynamic it's has to be more seo friendly then this.

Hi,

I think that when well optimised the site ranks better, whether it is dynamic or static.
