If you are a newbie which is targeting keywords like (web design, development, seo,and internet marketing), I guess it will take more time for you to rank because a lot of popular websites is overpowering the search engines.

I recommend that you target long tail keywords.. having a more specific target market..

For example: web design - you can target "web design for newbies"
