Article Directory Question?

Hi guys, I was just rambling through my head of different link building strategies and was thinking along the lines of an article directory submission idea..

Here it is,

Instead of just submitting ysubmitting sub pagesour home page, has anyone tried as well..? Like for instance, lets say your home page is about Haunted Houses. You submit your home page but you also submit 5 other sub pages that are from your domain but have different ideas behind them..

For Instance,

Home page - Learn what a haunted house is about.
Sub pages: Scariest haunted houses, how to build a haunted house, etc

Guess my question is, does this benefit at all of having directories point to different pages of your site? and do directories ALLOW THIS??
