Text link buying tips.

I recently bought about 1800 links from a decent-PR website. The links were all put up and the transaction went well, but man it was pricey.

I am considering buying from a bulk seller rather than an individual website owner, since the prices are much cheaper.

I've looked at a few sellers, but wanted to see if anyone here has had any good/bad experiences with any link sellers that they'd like to share.

I haven't seen any bargains on text link ads but it's hard to tell since you can't see the site where your link would go.

Generally speaking though I believe most individual webmasters will be cheaper; no middleman. I don't know about text link ads specifically, but the cut link brokers take is usually quite large. I sold some PR 4 links for 5/month but the broker that arranged it got 10/month. Obviously the advertiser would ahve done better to come to me straight away, but my one little site sponsor page can't get the search engine rankings that a broker can.

www.linkworth.com takes 30%... still a young site, so you might do ok there...

make sure you get lots of low PR links and mix up the anchor text to make the links look more natural. try to get them in the page content if you can too.

Or try just contacting sites directly... you can find great deals that way.
