SEO benefits of RSS feeds?

I am thinking about setting some content up as RSS feed links. I have seen many websites in do the same. Do we think its powerful tool that can be used for SEO purposes if you have a content driven site?

Since no one replied I managed to get it working and now other sites can link to my latest movie reviews and the answer to my question was that it is very powerful. For example http://www.eurr.co.uk/eurr_rss_reader.asp reads from http://www.futuremovies.co.uk/rss/reviews.asp

Now all I need is sites to use the XML feed.

hi Johan, I just submitted rss feeds for my blogs and it has resulted in a spike in traffic. If your feeds link to static html pages then you might get a rankings boost from links on sites that display it.
